How Calcite handles information when you use the workout-planning AI app and related services.

Effective

Effective date: September 14, 2026
Product: Calcite
Company: [Company Name] (“Calcite,” “we,” “us,” or “our”)
Contact: privacy@calcite.app

This Privacy Policy explains how Calcite handles information when you use our workout-planning AI app and related services (the “Services”).

Calcite is an AI workout planning product for consumer fitness coaching. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a medical device.

Platforms: Calcite is available on iOS today. An Android version is planned.

1. Our commitments (read this first)

Your data is yours. It exists to coach you — nothing else.

We built Calcite around these promises:

  • We do not sell your personal data.
  • There are no ads in Calcite, and we do not use your data for advertising.
  • Nothing about you goes to advertisers or data brokers.
  • Your chats are not retained by the AI providers that help process them for coaching.
  • Nothing you say or log is used to train any AI model — not ours, and not our AI providers’.
  • We use your information only to operate and improve coaching for you, and to run the subscription product you pay for.

If something below seems to conflict with these commitments, these commitments win — tell us at privacy@calcite.app.

2. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to people who use Calcite in the United States (and elsewhere, where we make the Services available), including when you use Calcite without creating an account.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Calcite. If you are under 18, you may need a parent or guardian’s permission where the law requires it.

3. Information we collect

Depending on how you use Calcite, we may collect:

A. Information you provide

  • Profile & training inputs you choose to share, such as name, age, height, weight, and other fitness details you enter.
  • Chat messages with the workout-planning AI (and related training context you provide in those conversations).
  • Account information if you sign in (for example, email and login credentials or sign-in provider details). You can use Calcite without logging in; account info is collected only when you choose to log in.
  • Support messages you send us (for example, to privacy@calcite.app), including what you write and how to reach you.

B. Payment and subscription information

Calcite is offered as a paid subscription. Purchases are processed by the app store (Apple App Store or Google Play) or another payment processor we use. We receive information needed to confirm your subscription status (for example, whether you are subscribed, plan type, renewal/expiration state, and non-sensitive transaction identifiers). We do not receive your full payment card number from Apple or Google when you pay through their stores.

C. Device and usage information

  • Device information, such as device type, operating system, and app version.
  • Crash and diagnostic logs that help us fix bugs and keep the app stable.
  • Usage and analytics events, such as which screens or features you use and rough engagement signals (for example, session timing). We use this to operate, secure, and improve the product — not for ads.

D. Information we do not collect for advertising

We do not collect data for advertising profiles, cross-app tracking for ads, or resale to data brokers.

4. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide personalized workout plans and coaching, and remember context that makes planning useful.
  • Operate accounts (when you create one), sync your experience across devices where supported, and authenticate you.
  • Process and manage subscriptions (including renewals, restores, and customer support related to billing status).
  • Keep the Services secure, prevent abuse, and debug crashes.
  • Understand product performance and improve workout-planning quality without training AI models on your chats or logs.
  • Respond to your requests (including privacy and deletion requests).
  • Comply with law and enforce our Terms.

We do not use your information to sell ads, build advertising audiences, or train AI models.

5. How we share information

We share information only in these limited ways:

Service providers (processors)

We use vendors to help run Calcite — for example cloud hosting, analytics, crash reporting, customer support tools, and AI providers that process chat content to generate workout plans and coaching responses.

Those AI providers process chats to deliver the feature. Per our commitments: they do not retain your chats for their own purposes, and your content is not used to train any AI model.

Other providers are allowed to use your information only to provide services to us, under obligations consistent with this policy.

Legal and safety

We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that it is required by law, or necessary to protect Calcite, our users, or others from fraud, abuse, or imminent harm.

Business transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy’s commitments (including no sale of your data for advertising).

With your direction

We may share information when you ask us to.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with advertisers or data brokers.

6. AI workout planning and your chats

Calcite uses AI systems to power workout planning conversations.

  • Chats are processed to generate responses and help plan workouts for you.
  • AI providers that process chats do not retain those chats under our configuration and agreements for that purpose.
  • We do not use your chats or logs to train AI models, and we do not allow providers to do so with your Calcite content.
  • Plans and coaching output can be wrong or incomplete. They are not a substitute for a licensed clinician or certified trainer when you need one. See our Terms for the fitness disclaimer.

7. Retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above:

  • Active training data and chats: while you use Calcite and for a reasonable period afterward so the product still works for you, unless you delete sooner.
  • Account data: until you delete your account, plus a short period needed to complete deletion and secure our systems.
  • Subscription records: as needed for accounting, fraud prevention, and legal obligations.
  • Crash/analytics: for shorter operational windows unless needed longer for security or debugging.

When you delete your account or request deletion, we delete or de-identify personal data associated with you, except where we must keep limited records (for example, to complete a transaction, resolve disputes, or meet legal requirements).

8. Your choices and rights

Delete your account and data

You can delete your account and associated data:

  1. In the app (account/settings deletion flow), and/or
  2. By request to privacy@calcite.app

We will process deletion requests without unreasonable delay. Some residual records may remain where the law requires (for example, subscription receipts held by Apple/Google, or records we must retain for compliance).

Access and correction

You can review and update profile information in the app where available. You can also email privacy@calcite.app to request access or correction.

Marketing / ads

We don’t run ads in Calcite and don’t sell your data for advertising, so there is no ad opt-out to manage for that purpose.

Store permissions

You can control device permissions in your OS settings. Some features may not work without certain permissions.

Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have additional rights under local privacy laws. Email privacy@calcite.app to exercise them. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

9. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please use a strong unique password if you create an account and keep your device updated.

10. Children

Calcite is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact privacy@calcite.app and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

11. International processing

If you use Calcite from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. Those places may have different data-protection laws than your home country.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will change the effective date above and, when changes are material, provide additional notice (for example in the app). Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
